SCHIZOPHRENIA:- Once Upon A Time In Banglaore...!!

"Schizophrenia"!! Sounds something terrific. The one who suffer from the same, is as normal as you and me. His days are also glowing with sun rise and nights are lovely with the beam of moonlight. But they make no difference to him; he is lost somewhere at dark, out of nature, away from the whole world, he is arrested along with pain, fear and isolation.

The days were awesome in Bangalore during 2006 when I went for a training course and once met her at Manipal hospital. I went for a check up as I was suffering from acute gastritis. At the reception I saw a middle aged fair skin lady with her teenage girl, her daughter perhaps. I asked the girl her name and she never responded me. I guess she was afraid, her drowsy eyes were as if trying to ignore the whole crowd over there. She was holding her mom's hand and soon I asked for her name she went behind her mother and started crying. The lady with a frustrated face said me " She is Schizophrenic". I was unaware of the term then, but never dared to ask her further. After my check up, I came to my room and my first task was to search for the word.

I found Schizophrenia is a complex mental disorder that makes it difficult to tell the difference between real and unreal experiences, think logically, have normal emotional responses, behave normally in social situations etc. Its also they have irritable/tense feeling, difficulty sleeping, concentrating. As the illness continues symptoms changes; problems with thinking start, the person start behaving on unreal things, hearing and seeing things that are not there in real, thoughts "jump" between unrelated topics, social isolation etc. Schizophrenia's symptoms vary as per the types. "Paranoid Schizophrenia" gets anxiousness, angriness and the patient gets false believes that others are trying to harm him or his loved ones. "Disorganized Schizophrenia" symptoms include problems in thinking and expressing ideas, child like behavior, showing less emotion. "Catatonic Schizophrenia" include lack of activity, muscles and posture gets rigid, odd facial expression etc. I guess the girl had Catatonic schizophrenia as she gave some odd expressions every time I saw her.

I looked forward for treatment of the condition and it was mentioned " SCHIZOPHRENIA IS A LIFE LONG ILLNESS." The person has to survive on anti-psychotic medication for life. I really felt pity on the girl after reading this. She was so cute and innocent enough to look, got so much of her life to survive and suffered with such a disorder. The medicines even have side effects like sleepiness, dizziness, weight gain, increased chance of diabetes, slow movements, restlessness etc. What the hell will the person do who suffer from this. Poor little girl. I was shocked when I saw a column on complications of having Schizophrenia. "SUICIDE"! is what it was written there.

I could not sit in-front if laptop anymore, went to sleep. But that " Suicide" word never allowed me for the same. I could see the girl's lovely face and poor mom's frustrated face in my dream.

Some say mental disorders get cured by meditation, yoga, exercise etc. But wonder, if Schizophrenia be treated! It is said, the person suffering with the same lack concentration, thinking power etc. Then how will he go for meditation? May be once situation come to bit normal it can be done. Medical science is so much developed. Wish this can treat schizophrenia soon.

I left Bangalore, but today was missing the wonderful place, so remembered that lovely girl. Wish to visit her sometime and find her in a better, controlled manner.

TomBoy-Love-Complete Women:- A track to move on...!!

A normal girl child born in 1985 always dreamt to grow up soon and be with all the ladies fashion and look beautiful. Schooldays almost went on fine as a simple girl till class 8th; class 9th and 10th were most mischievous days in school, lots of scoldings, punishment, warnings, complaints and so on....In class 11th(+2, 1st year as we mention here at my state Odisha, when study in colleges under state govt) something strange went on in life that turned the mischiveous girl as a Tom boy. Gutkha,road-side tea stalls, those black bands at wrist, Shirts-Trousers/Jeans-t shirts, Black cap, a little short knife, lighter in pocket, passing comments to girls, whislte, fights on road, terrorising guys who tease other known girls....everything seems to be a crystal clear flash back infront of eyes when mind come up with a short thought on the same. Then enters a LOVE in life {"Prem"-As the name suggest love.} A man from fashion world, completely contracdictory to an out-of-fashion tomboy definitely had something good and attractive that made her somewhat think like a girl and fall in love with him. After about 9 months the girl proposed Prem and someway or the other he accepted after knowing everything about her way and life style. But its true even, life style, way of thinking everything differed between the both. Girl was tough enough with out-look, but had a simple way of living and fun. On contradictory to this, the boy was a party-guy, pub-disco loving, being from world of fashion, a state-level model, a highly matured personality, completely dashing guy to be tagged as. But its true he never wanted the girl to change her Boyish attitude, get-up and personality; may be because he never wanted to change his love and be in love with her, may be because he was quite aware about the inner heart being a simple one or may be because he wanted his lady love to stay aways from much of make-ups,fashion, style and all those ladies talks to crack down his mind evrytime. Apart from their love, the girl was with her usual manly attitude, acts, behaviour, talks everything. So something that kept the girl bonded with some kind of girlish heart, was LOVE. After being in a relation for more than 6 years both married and settled down at Delhi. The place was familiar to Prem, but was so new and different for the girl. Lost her friends, local area dominancy, family care..What left with her was her teenage "Love" cum present husband. Someone who thought to stay like a boy everytime, had to change herself in a greater way when around in-laws; but with husband it was fine enough to stay as the same tomboy as he never complaint on the way of get-up and out-look. You are set free for everything, but if you are a girl there come some limitation and boundary for you this way or the other definitely. Something great happend after 3 years of marraige and that is what the couple have added a new life, a little baby to their world. A small little girl, born on 6th july 2011 to them. These all days after marraige especialy made the girl think on a thought she use to get in her childhood, dream she use to think of being like a grown-up woman and all those every girl think off during her early days to have a husband, a child, serve the best to her family and all those general feelings. A point to make out here is " A girl can never be equal to a boy however fast the world grow...." Never know what and how the track will progress further, but for the time being its all may be said:- "Tomboy-Love-Complete woman".

ELECTRA:------Love to my husband and baby.
